BPS AR Garden Adventure app for iPhone and iPad

The Bathurst Public School AR Garden Adventure was one of three successful grants in the Bathurst Local Government Area as part of the 2019 NSW Government ‘My Community Grant’ Project. The project included construction of an immersive and interactive garden that has been enhanced through an augmented reality app.



The Garden Landscape and App has been designed to link to school curriculum of which Bathurst Public School Teachers have been a significant part of content development. We also acknowledge the Bathurst Local Aboriginal Lands Council for their assistance in content development inq providing images and content direction.



There are three primary design features:



The natural environment, providing references and links to native ecology, geology, waterways and animals.
Cultural heritage through the yarning circle and Indigenous interactive features.
Sustainability with recycling, chickens and composting vegetable gardens.



The design and construction has been completed by Skillset Land Works which is based in Bathurst NSW. Skillset is focused on creating life-changing opportunities for people and communities in regional NSW and one of its key programs is Skillset Land Works which employs and trains local people to complete environmental and landscape projects across western NSW . The App Creation and Development has been completed by Page 2 which is based in Sydney NSW.



This project was funded by the NSW Government.

Note: This app will not operate stand alone and has been designed solely for use by Bathurst Public School.
